Laser engraving works best with solid colors, bold logos, and clean lines. Avoid fine details, thin strokes, and complex gradients. Your design should be easily readable as a monochromatic engraved mark. Solid company logos, initials, text, and geometric shapes engrave crisply and professionally.
Kota Pro is a non-tacky heat-activated film. When you apply heat (typically using a heat press), the adhesive activates and creates a permanent, durable bond. This approach means the patch won't shift or peel during wear, making it ideal for hats, jackets, and workwear where durability matters.
Stay within the 2.8" × 2.8" safe decoration area on the 3" round patch. This conservative margin ensures your engraved design stays centered and away from the adhesive backing edge. Designs extending beyond this area risk cutting or adhesive interference.
Seven colors are currently available: Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Blush, Light Gray, Gray, and Light Green. The palette features earthy, rustic tones designed to work together cohesively. All colors are in stock and ready for order.

The patches arrive ready for decoration with laser engraving. Once your design is engraved, the Kota Pro adhesive is activated by heat (using a heat press or similar tool), which bonds the patch permanently to your product. No additional preparation is needed—your supplier or decorator handles the heat activation during finishing.
