Laserable leatherette is a richly textured synthetic material that mimics the look and feel of genuine leather at a much lower cost. The material is water resistant, easy to clean, and durable enough to withstand daily wear. When laser engraved, it produces a sharp, high-contrast mark that's both attractive and long-lasting.
Monochrome designs with clear lines and solid shapes produce the sharpest results. Logos, text, simple illustrations, and geometric patterns laser beautifully. Designs with fine detail will still engrave well, but avoid full-color artwork, gradients, and designs that rely on white ink or highlights—those are not compatible with laser engraving on this material.
Each patch comes with an adhesive backing that allows you to peel and stick the patch directly onto fabric, leather, caps, bags, or other surfaces. Simply peel the backing and press firmly for a few seconds. The adhesive is designed to hold through regular use and washing.
The safe laser engraving area is 2.3" × 2.3". This conservative margin from the 2.5" × 2.5" edge ensures your design is fully contained on the patch and avoids the adhesive border. Upload artwork files that fit comfortably within this space for best results.

No. Laser engraving produces monochrome results by burning or vaporizing the leatherette surface. Full-color designs, photographs, and gradients cannot be reproduced with this method. Stick to bold, single-color artwork for the best visual impact and clarity.
