Yes. Laser engraving permanently burns into the synthetic material, creating sharp contrast that won't fade, peel, or wear away with regular use. The mark is as durable as the leatherette itself, even with exposure to moisture and handling.
Laser engraving works best with bold, single-color designs (black or contrasting colors). Full-color photo artwork and gradients don't translate well to laser engraving. If you need full-color results, consider screen printing options instead.
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are preferred and deliver the sharpest results with clean edges. High-resolution raster files (PNG, JPG, TIFF) at 300 DPI or higher also work well. Vector files prevent pixelation in your engraved design.
The patch is 2.5" × 2.5", and we recommend keeping your design within the 2.3" × 2.3" decoration area. This leaves a professional margin around the edges for a polished appearance.
The adhesive is permanent by design for workwear and team gear durability. Once applied, the patch bonds securely and is not intended for removal or repositioning. Test placement on your sample set before applying to final products.
Leatherette offers the elegant look and feel of genuine leather with practical advantages: it's water-resistant, easier to clean, and significantly more affordable. The laser-engraved finish is crisp and professional. The trade-off is that leatherette is synthetic and won't develop the patina of real leather.
